Howard Lake Herald, May 4, 1998 Howard Lake Herald, May 4, 1998Merle Madsen of Howard Lake and Elizabeth Marie Kelly of Litchfield were transported to the Buffalo Hospital by ambulance after a two-car accident on Wright Co. Rd. 6 and Co. Rd 35, Wednesday morning.
A vehicle, driven by Benjiman J. Schaaf of Dassel, was traveling east on Co. Rd. 35 and did not stop for the stop sign at the intersection of Co. Rd. 6, according to the Wright County Sheriff's Department.
His vehicle struck the 1990 Ford Crown Victoria, driven by Madsen as it traveled north on Co. Rd. 6.
Several passengers in the cars declined ambulance transport.
