Fatal accident near Waverly A two-car accident at the intersection of Co Rd. 8 and Co. Rd. 30 in Woodland Township, south of Waverly took the life of Anne Cronen of Montevideo and sent Michael and Cynthia Zitzloff of Winsted to the Waconia Ridgeview Hospital last Monday. According to the Wright County Sheriff's Department, the collision occurred when the Cronen vehicle failed to stop for the stop sign at that intersection. The Zitzloffs' car was struck by the vehicle driven by Cronen. Both Michael Zitzloff and Cronen were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where Cronen later died of her injuries. According to Cindy Zitzloff's mother, Daisy Binder, Cindy was released from HCMC on Wednesday and Mike on Thursday. Both are recovering at home. The accident is under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Department.
