Merger approved for C & H Ag Service and Lake Region Co-op Voters approved the merger of C & H Ag Service with Lake Region Co-op by an overwhelming margin Nov. 17. A total of 93 percent of C&H Ag patrons voting were in favor of the merger, as were 86 percent of the 131 ballots cast by Lake Region patrons. The two cooperatives have worked together previously and have common members and trade areas, said Lake Region Board Chair Dan Pribyl. He explained the stock will have a dollar for dollar equity exchange of shares. C & H's board includes president Leonard Wozniak, Gordon Kotila, Burton Horsch, Greg Bakeberg, Daryl Buttenhoff, Allen Glessing, and John Olson. Dan Fogarty is C & H's general manager. Lake Region's board includes Pribyl, Gordie Marquette, Tom Neuman, Jim Miller, Randy Abel, Neil Korhonen, and David Neske. Randy Brandel manages its Cokato operation, and general manager for Lake Region is Dale Klabo. Said Fogarty of C & H, "We will still be providing our customers with excellent service, only it will be a larger area."
