Chinese visitors tour Metro Dairy

The tour group that arrived at Metro Dairy near Waverly on April 25 had come a few thousand miles and crossed an ocean to see the company.

The tourists were 10 men from China, a delegation from the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).

The members were Sun Guizhang, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress; Bian Qingzhu, Secretary General of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Teng Jiuming, Senior Consultant of Chongqing Municipal Government; Wang Jianhao, Deputy Director General of the Department of American and Oceanic Affairs of the CPAFFC; Zhai Chunsheng, Vice Mayor of Zibo City of Shangdong Province; Xu Yinghao, Lieutenant Magistrator of Fental Administrative District of Beijing Municipality; Chu Rongling, Mayor of Changle City of Fujian Province; Tang Weisheng, Vice Mayor of Yuhang City of Zhejiang Province; and Shen Zin, interpreter.

The CPAFFC was founded in 1954. It is a national people's organization of the People's Republic of China. Its objective is the promotion of friendship and mutual understanding between the Chinese and other peoples of the world, and the maintenance of world peace.

It develops contacts and exchanges with friendly organizations and people in various countries. Over 280 major social bodies in China are member organizations. It has carried out friendship activities on a people-to-people basis with over 150 countries and established contact or relations of friendship and cooperation with more than 100 organizations in about 90 countries.
