Regional dairy princesses to be crowned

The crowning of the new Region VII Dairy Princess will take place Wednesday, June 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, in conjunction with June Dairy Days.

Princess candidates are Crissy Cain, daughter of Michael and Kathleen Cain, Corcoran; Michele Dammann, daughter of Donald and Carol Dammann, Glencoe; Crystal Ertl, daughter of Ralph and Melanie Ertl, Mayer; Michele Esselman, daughter of Harry and Beth Plaggerman, Maple Lake; Katie Fasching, daughter of Jeff and Mary Fasching, Winsted; Jessica Fink, daughter of Tom and Sue Fink, Maple Plain.

Holly Karnitz, daughter of Einard and Donna Karnitz, Belle Plaine; Lisa Lenneman, daughter of Eugene and Julie Lenneman, St. Michael; Chris McNellis, daughter of Bob and Nancy Menth, New Germany; Emily Tessner, daughter of Mark and Roseanne Tessmer, Rogers; Stacy Wozniak, daughter of Leonard and Sandy Wozniak, Cokato; and Trudy Wright, daughter of Jerold and Shirley Wright, Hutchinson.

Princess candidates are judged on their communications skills, personality, enthusiasm for dairy promotion and general knowledge of the dairy industry. All must be daughters of Minnesota dairy producers.

Region VII includes the counties of Carver, Hennepin, McLeod, and Wright. The new Region VII Dairy Princess will be one of 11 region princesses from across Minnesota to compete in August for the title of Princess Kay of the Milky Way.
