Drug arrests made in WaverlyBy ANDREA VARGO Two arrests were made as the result of a search warrant executed as part of an investigation into a methamphetamine manufacturing laboratory at 4257 35th St. SW in Waverly, Sept. 17. Jerry Mcdowell, 38, and Taunia Goetz, 31, were arrested at the scene and booked into the Wright County Jail. Both were living at the residence at the time of the search. A total of six adults and one juvenile female were present at the home. The search resulted in the seizure of items associated with a clandestine methamphetamine manufacturing laboratory. These items included chemicals, glassware, drug paraphernalia, packaging equipment, packaging materials, scales, and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. Agents of the Wright County Drug Task Force and the Wright County Sheriff's Office conducted the search and arrests. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending. Mcdowell and Goetz were charged with a second degree controlled substance crime, namely manufacture of over 10 grams of methamphetamine. |
