Elderly woman reported missing A rural French Lake woman, Ellen Annala, 87, was reported missing by family members late Tuesday evening, Aug. 11. They last had contact with Annala Aug. 9. Annala is described as a white female, approximately five feet tall, and weighing about 110 pounds. She often went for long walks of sometimes a mile or more on area roads, according to Don Hozempa, Wright County sheriff. He said she could have gone in several directions, which makes the search more difficult. Hozempa said they are using dogs, mounted patrol, and the Minnesota State Patrol Helicopter, in addition to sheriff's deputies, sheriff's reserve, and family members. As of Friday, Annala had not yet been found.
