An armed robbery, that is being investigated by the FBI and Wright County investigators, occurred at the Albertville Security State Bank March 3, just before 10 a.m.
Responding deputies determined that two masked male suspects with handguns had demanded and received an undetermined amount of money from bank employees.
The suspects left the scene in a four door 1981 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royal Sedan, which was tan with a dark brown top and a cracked windshield.
This vehicle was stolen the previous evening from the Rogers area in Hennepin County.
It was located by the Sheriff shortly after the robbery parked in a commuter lot near the freeway.
An older, boxy body style, white, passenger car was seen leaving the commuter lot near the time the suspects would have switched vehicles there. The car was possibly a Ford Fairmont.
The driver of this white vehicle was described by witnesses as having glasses and nearly shoulder length dark hair.
One of the suspects was described as five feet nine inches tall and approximately 180 pounds.
The other suspect appeared to be about six feet one inch to six feet three inches tall and 200 pounds.
Both were wearing dark ski masks, overcoats, and blue jeans. They displayed handguns during the robbery.
