Wright County candidates file for November election
The filing period for the fall election ended July 18.
Two Wright County Commissioners will be elected, as well as local legislators and a congressman Nov. 7.
Incumbent County Commis-sioner Ken Jude of Annandale filed for re-election in District 1. Jude is being challenged by Grace Pederson of rural Buffalo.
In District 3, Commissioner Jack Russek of Delano faces one challenger, William Warner of rural Buffalo.
Three people filed for the District 19 seat in the State Senate. They are: Republican incumbent Mark Ourada of Buffalo, DFL candidate Ross Bennett of Buffalo, and Constitution Party candidate Bruce Freiberg of Buffalo.
In House District 19B, Republican incumbent State Rep. Bruce Anderson of Buffalo is challenged by DFL candidate John Skoog of Buffalo.
Republican incumbent Mark Olson of Big Lake filed in House District 19A. He faces DFL candidates Greg Hansen of Monticello, and David Burzinski of Monticello Township.
State Senate candidates for District 20 are Republican incumbent Steve Dille of Dassel and DFL candidate Jeffrey Krueger of Silver Lake.
Republican incumbent Tony Kielkucki of Lester Prairie is the only person to file in House District 20B.
Republican incumbent Bob Ness of Dassel has filed in House District 20 A and is opposed by Constitution Party candidate Philip Jarman of Cokato.
Gen Olson of Mound, Republican incumbent, and DFL candidate Sandra Hunz of Minnetrista filed for the State Senate District 34 seat.
Congressional District 2
Several candidates filed for the District 2 U.S. House seat now occupied by DFL incumbent David Minge of Chaska, including Constitution Party candidate Dennis Burda of Buffalo, Independence Party candidates Stan Bentz of Waconia and Gerald Brekke of St. Peter, and Republican candidates Mark Kennedy of Watertown and Joe Wagner of Jordan.
