Public hearing set for HL annexation

By Andrea Vargo

Howard Lake Industries West, represented by City Attorney Charles Paschke and Pat Van Oss, owner of Old Town Gallery, reported a positive reaction from Victor Township on the proposed annexation of 56 acres on the west edge of the city limits, Tuesday.

The land, located on the west edge of the city south of Hwy. 12, will be the site for an industrial park, said Paschke.

The meeting between the organization and the township went well, said Van Oss.

He said he felt the township is favorable to the annexation.

Paschke told the council the adjoining properties need to be notified about the annexation and a public hearing that will take place, possibly Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 8:30 p.m.
