Kirk Jensen appointed to HLWW school board

Kirk Jensen of Howard Lake was appointed Monday to the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted school board to take the place of Michael Steckelberg, who moved this summer.

A graduate of Howard Lake-Waverly High School, Jensen has lived most of his life in Howard Lake.

He and his wife, Dawn, have two teenage daughters, Cortney and Kelsea, who attend HLWW.

Jensen is a member of St. James Church and is active in the community. He has coached a girls traveling basketball team for the past few years.

An outdoors person, he likes fishing and all sports.

Jensen hopes to make a positive contribution to the HLWW school board, he said.
