Citizens encourage support for a Waverly Daze parade By Andrea Vargo Will the council support a parade for Waverly Daze? That's what Jan Fitzpatrick and Faye Bakeberg wanted to know Tuesday at the Waverly City Council meeting. The council was in favor of community involvement, but asked City Clerk Deb Ryks to check with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) about liability coverage. The council will discuss details at future work sessions. Later, Fitzpatrick said she would like to see an ice cream social come back to the celebration and involvement by the community in the parade.
