Westward ho for the Rathkamps
Fifty-six members of the Rathkamp family headed for the pass recently. . . that is, Pass Creek Ranch in Wyola, Mont.
Darrell and Mary Rathkamp, along with Todd and Cindy, Kurt and Lisa, and their children, were host to the Rathkamp family reunion July 2-4 at their ranch in Ryola, Mont., at the foot hills of the Big Horn Mountains.
Those attending the reunion were Rodney, Carole A. and Alyssa Gutzmann of Winsted, Connie, Ed, Josh, Aaron, and Michael Dehn of Waconia; David Gutzmann and Cheryl Klemp of Minneapolis; Amy and Brian Lyle of Winsted; Tessa Lyle of Bird Island; Dan and Joan Larson, Dan Jr., Cheryl, Jessy, Dillon, and Emily Larson, and Bruce Larson, all of Minneapolis;
Michael Larson of Vail, Colo.; Bill, Sandi, and Krista Rathkamp of Waverly; Jeff, Peggy, Molly, Angie, and Karie Rathkamp of Lester Prairie; Bert and Cindy, Meggen and Beth Rathkamp of Howard Lake; Richard, Paulette, and Sarah Wagoner of Fort Myers, Fla.; Carol Wagoner of Boston; and Bob and Jen Spencer and Millie Rathkamp of New Hall, Calif.
Esther Ditmore, an aunt from California, and Loren Wagnor, a friend of the family from Howard Lake, also joined the group.
Family members unable to attend included Chuck, Leann, Jessey and Gage Gutzmann and James and Kathy Gutzmann, all of Winsted.
The group enjoyed horseback riding, hiking, rides in horse-drawn wagons, trout fishing, and floating down Pass Creek, along with a lot of visiting and bonding during the three-day event.
On the fourth of July, friends of the family, Roger MaCalla and wife, Sylvia, of Billings, Mont. and formerly of Howard Lake, joined the group.
A wonderful time was had by all, with many memories made for both young and old.
