Former Herald editor writes national movie column on Web

Local entertainment reporter and former Howard Lake Herald Editor Tim Lammers began a weekly movies column July 1 on five CBS-TV affiliate Web sites nationwide.

"At the Movies," a column that features interviews with actors and film makers, as well as other movie-related news, will appear in Minnesota on the home page of Channel 4000,, the Web site of WCCO-TV in Minneapolis.

A new column will appear on the home page each Thursday and will also be housed in the site's entertainment section.

The other Web sites carrying the column are in Los Angeles, in Portland, in Madison, and in Cleveland.

Lammers began his entertainment writing career in 1990 with the Herald. He's since gone on to write articles for several different national publications, and works as a freelance producer and interviewer for WCCO-TV arts and entertainment reporter Bill Carlson.

Locally, he does entertainment reporting for KRWC AM 1360 in Buffalo, and his interview and movie soundtrack program, "Thursday Night at the Movies," airs weekly from 7 to 10 p.m.
