Drug operation in fish house busted
It wasn't fish the Wright County Drug Task Force found in a fishhouse on Waverly Lake Jan. 20.
Three persons, Nathan Probst of Buffalo, and Taylor Brummer and Andrew Hausladen, both of Waverly, were arrested for first degree manufacture of a controlled substance and one, Edward Minerich of Plymouth, was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance.
Sgt. Lenny Walker of the drug task force said the chemicals and other items in the fish house were consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine.
The fish house was the target of a search warrant executed by the Wright County Sheriff's Office, Department of Natural Resources officers, and Drug Enforcement Administration officers
One agent from the task force was overcome by hazardous chemical fumes at the scene and was treated and released at the Buffalo Hospital emergency room.
A chemical waste disposal company was brought to the scene and all hazardous materials were removed from the area.
Concern was expressed that some of the chemicals were dumped into the lake.
The investigation is continuing with additional suspects possibly being charged.
