Miss Waverly Anna Millerbernd crowned Aquatennial princess

Anna Millerbernd, Miss Waverly, 2000-2001, was chosen princess of the Minneapolis Aquatennial, in the Queen of the Lakes Coronation July 21 at Ted Mann Hall recently.

She is the daughter of Steve and Julie Millerbernd of Waverly.

Queen of the Lakes is Natalie Neubauer of Hutchinson. Neubauer is formerly Miss Hutchinson. She is a pre-med chemistry major at the University of Minnesota, Morris.

The other princess chosen was Heather Mumaugh of Blaine.

Candidates were judged on speaking ability, poise, community spirit, volunteerism and presentation of self. Young women from 43 Minnesota communities competed for the title.

The Queen of the Lakes will travel around the state, nation and world, representing the Minneapolis Aquatennial until the next Queen of the Lakes is crowned during the 2002 Minneapolis Aquatennial.

Princesses ­ Julianne Borg or Cokato and Anne Sumangil of Crystal
