Prairie Ridge development moving ahead
By Ryan Gueningsman
According to developer David Segal, the new development in Lester Prairie, Prairie Ridge, is progressing fine.
"The project is almost complete, and by the end of the week, the streets will be paved, and curb and gutter will be in. We're just trying to line up the utility companies the gas, electric, and telephone. I'm hoping they'll be in there next week sometime too," said Segal.
This is just phase one of the project that is almost complete. The development is divided into four phases, with each being built as demand calls for.
"That's just the first 45 lots phase two is graded, but that's the extent of it. The playground is completed everything except the woodchips, which will be in by the end of next week. The trail down to that park, too, will also be done by the end of the week, and seeding is currently being done in the park area, as well," said Segal.
"It's taken a little longer than we thought. We hoped to be done four to six weeks ago, but it didn't exactly turn out that way. It's really no one's fault. Some things have just taken longer to fall into place. I'm happy the weather has been cooperating, and we're anxious to have people start purchasing the lots and building up the neighborhood.
"We're going ahead full steam. It's open to anyone. Licensed builders and brokers are also welcome," said Segal.
"The lot pricing runs from $28,400 to the premium lots along the river, which will run $43,400," said Segal. "They fall in between those prices. Those prices are guaranteed until April 30."
