Citizens State Bank of Waverly adds residential loan officer
By Lynda Jensen
The Citizens State Bank of Waverly recently added an experienced loan officer to its staff, Mary Sieling.
Sieling accepted a full-time position as the senior real estate lending officer at the bank.
She brings with her at least 16 years of experience related to every phase of buying a home, including acting as a licensed realtor, three years with a mortgage company, working as a real estate underwriter, and numerous years in the lending department of the bank in Fergus Falls.
Her experience will allow Citizens to offer its services locally to new developments that are sweeping the area.
The job allows her the flexibility of meeting people in their home or workplace, as well as during regular bank hours, she said.
Her most recent job was for Hometown Mortgage and she has worked for Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corporation.
The job switch required her to relocate from Fergus Falls, which is her hometown, with her husband, Glen, she said.
"I am looking forward to getting involved in the community," she said. In Fergus Falls, she was involved in the Kiwanis and business and professional women's association and acted as past presidents of both; the city planning commission, city human rights commission, and various community committees, she said.
"Moving here is a lot like Fergus Falls," she said. "There are lakes and trees, but it's just not as hilly."
The Sielings are currently looking for a home to buy in the area, she said. They reside in Big Lake. Glen is a diesel mechanic and will be looking for something in this area as well, she said.
The Sielings have five grown children.
