Gage sold; new owner to add shifts, expand

By Lynda Jensen

Significant, rapid expansion will mark the recent change in ownership of Gage Lettershop Services in Howard Lake.

Gage, which was established in 1969, is now known as American Spirit Mailing.
American Spirit Mailing plans to expand its second shift and add a third shift to its existing employee base. This will include the hiring of many permanent full-time and part-time employees in the local area.

All existing employees will continue with their jobs, a spokeswoman for the company said.

The business was acquired by Minneapolis-based American Spirit Graphics, a national supplier of print and mailing services for direct marketers.

The Howard Lake facility will feature 50 multi-station inserters, with services such as personalization, poly and assorted specialty mailing formats.

There is 100,000 square feet of production space in Howard Lake, which will work 24-hours a day.

American Spirit Graphics has four facilities: Minneapolis, Bloomington, Howard Lake, and Des Moines, Iowa.

American Spirit Graphics was established in 1985. It is a leading national provider of printing and mailing services.
