Young man killed in single car crash

A one-car accident took the life of Howard Lake resident Nathan Paul Westrup Wednesday.
Westrup, 21, was travelling westbound on Interstate 94 near Monticello when he lost control of his 1998 Ford Escort and struck a guard rail, according to the Wright County Sheriff's Department.
He was ejected from the vehicle and struck by two other vehicles, according to the accident report.
He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was the only occupant, according to the accident report.
Westrup was a 1999 graduate of Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School.
