Accidents leave one injured in separate crashes near LP

Three unrelated accidents occurred last week near Lester Prairie along McLeod County Road 9.
Serious injuries resulted from a one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning on County Road 9, just north of 155th Street, and south of the City of Lester Prairie.
Tara Michelle Bauer, 26 of Lakeville, lost control going around the curve just north of 155th St. and rolled her vehicle.
She was removed from the vehicle by the Lester Prairie Fire Department with the Hurst tool, known as the "jaws of life," and airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center.
She was in stable condition, recovering from injuries to her head, plus a broken collar bone, broken ribs, and a broken bone in her hand.
Bauer was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer, with her seat belt on, according to the accident report.
Another accident occurred just moments after that one at the intersection of Highway 7 and County Road 9.
Carolyn Maas of Watertown encountered a flat tire and ended up in the ditch with her 1995 Plymouth Voyager. She was uninjured.
A third accident accident also took place Jan. 4 on County Road 9 just south of Lester Prairie near 165th Street at 5:12 p.m.
Dianne Peterson of Brooklyn Park, who was driving a 1992 Saab, was hit by a 1992 Toyota driven by Bryan Dittmer of Glencoe.
Dittmer was attempting to pass Peterson when Peterson made a left turn.
There were no personal injuries, but each vehicle received more than $1,000 in damages.
