New owner takes over at Winsted Floral
By Ryan Gueningsman
Michelle Fleischacker of Winsted is following her childhood dream with the purchase of Winsted Floral and Gifts, effective today.
Fleischacker, along with her husband, Brad, purchased the business and building from Jim and Sue Artmann. The Artmanns will remain on board to help with the transition period and the ordering, Fleischacker said.
She plans to “keep offering the great service that Jim and Sue did,” Fleischacker said. She is hoping to add new silks, and a new Pacifica line of candles, oils, and lotions that are all natural. She noted that she is planning to keep the Yankee Candle line.
Fleischacker worked in information technology for many years, but prior to that she worked part-time in several floral shops.
In the future, she hopes to offer more wedding services, personalized gifts, as well as outdoor decorative and landscaping pieces.
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said. Fleischacker is planning on having an open house later this summer or early fall.
Business hours and the telephone number, (320) 485-4212, will remain the same.
