‘Beyond Relaxation:’
massage business part of improvements to LP building

By Ryan Gueningsman

A new massage business, two new licensed Realtors, and a remodeled salon have given downtown Lester Prairie a new touch.

Jennifer Jindra of Lester Prairie recently opened Beyond Relaxation, a business that specializes in Swedish and hot stone massages, as well as lymph drainage and reflexology.

Jindra received her certification from the Touch of Life School of Massage in Eden Prairie, and received her diploma in April. She is continuing to work a full-time job at HTI in Hutchinson and launching her massage business with evening and by appointment hours.

Several benefits of massages include opening up blood vessels and improving circulation, relaxing muscle spasms, lowering blood pressure, and inducing a deep state of relaxation that washes away stress, Jindra said.

Currently, Jindra is open by appointment, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Appointments can be made by calling (320) 395-2717 or (320) 420-3681. Jindra’s office is located between The Hair Company and Realty Plus on Juniper Avenue.

New services from Realty Plus

Art Mallak of Realty Plus also has some new people and new services up his sleeve to offer potential customers.

Mallak has purchased a “talking house” radio program. When an interested person pulls up in front of a house, a sign in the yard has a radio station they can turn their dial to and hear about the house they are looking at, Mallak said.

“Talking house is like an agent at the house 24/7,” Mallak said. “It’s a person talking on the radio and telling you about the house.” Mallak hopes to have his first talking house available in the near future. Another project Mallak has taken upon himself is to purchase a limousine and start Double A Limousine Service, in addition to taking potential customers to house showings.

Lonna Rahn and Tish Koeger have both become licensed Realtors and are also working with Mallak at Realty Plus.

“We offer one-stop shopping for your real estate needs,” Mallak said. “My ultimate goal is your total satisfaction in your real estate transactions.”

Realty Plus is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

“If the light is on, you’re welcome to stop by,” Mallak said.

Mallak, along with his neighbors Jindra and Peg Rathkamp of The Hair Company are having an open house Saturday, June 26 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Rathkamp also recently completed some remodeling in her shop.

Each business is giving away several prizes, including a free half-hour massage from Jindra and a remote control, color television by Mallak.
