Not as good as I was hoping

Last weekend, I saw “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” at the Delano Theatre and I was a bit disappointed.

After seeing the third movie, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” I thought that was the best movie yet.

Maybe it was because the third was so different than the first two in visual effects and landscape.

I have read the first four books of the Harry Potter series. I don’t want to rush into it! If I just stay ahead of the movie release then I’m in good shape.

This time around, the book was way better than the movie. Aside from the fact that I was tired, I almost fell asleep three or four times.

The beginning was a bit of a snoozer. I read the book and I did enjoy it. Despite the fact that the book was quite larger than the ones before it, I seemed to have read it in a remarkable short time.

I’m not sure what I didn’t like about the movie. Maybe it was my mood. Maybe it was the fact that I was tired. I don’t know, maybe I just wasn’t in a Harry Potter mood.

How about them Vikings?

Every game seems to be better than the one before it. With five interceptions against a Super Bowl winning team, the Vikes were able to win another.

It helped that the Rams rookie quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick seemed to be playing for the wrong team.

My roommate and I have an ongoing joke every time the opposing team messes up. Soon after they make a bad play they end up on the phone where they get yelled for making a mistake. It’s hilarious. You can see the disgust on the players face.

With five turnovers, Fitzpatrick was on the phone a lot. After we got done hooting and hollering about the interceptions, we would say, “He’ll be on the phone in a minute!” Sure enough, there he was on the phone with a disgusted look on his face. Poor guy!

Lately, I’ve been quite positive even if the opposing team gets a touchdown. I’ll even compliment the opposing team for making a good play. I guess I have faith in our team now that I just know we’ll win. Maybe I shouldn’t be too cocky yet or the next game the Vikes will lose.

I just like giving credit where credit is due. The Vikes have a lot of great players on the team who have made beautiful plays. Well sometimes I find good plays on the other end as well.

At any rate, everything seems to be going right for the Vikes and it’s about time. Let’s hope they can keep it up.
