Do you have a ‘tiny tale’ to share?
|By JEN BAKKEN|
Tiny Tales is a column dedicated to children in our community, and the times when they create a wonderful story to tell. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, family member, caregiver, teacher or anyone with a child in your life. . . there’s always a tiny tale to tell.
It may be cute or funny things a child has said or done. Any of those endearing moments you love to share with others, and people, like me, enjoy reading.
Here in Delano we are proud of our community, our schools and our children. . . why not have a column about our little ‘tigers’?
You can email your tiny tales to firstname.lastname@example.org, fax them to (763) 972-1029 or mail them to:Tiny Tales, Delano Herald Journal, PO Box 498, Delano, MN 55328.
My six-year-old daughter started first grade this year. She had all the typical worries any child entering that grade would have.
But the other day she said something so cute. Of course being a proud momma I had to share.
She was telling me that first grade is too long, too much sitting at a desk, she missed me too much; she was tired and couldn’t go back.
Then she added; “Mom I’m too little for first grade and I should go back to kindergarten!”
That really tugged at my heartstrings, but I know she has a wonderful teacher and will make the adjustment into first grade just fine.
Now it’s your turn to tell a Tiny Tale or two! I want to hear about the little tigers in your life.
You don’t have to include the full names, only the information you are comfortable with. Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of tales to tell, but I fear readers may grow tired of my momma babbles!
