Tickets go on sale today (Monday) for a “legendary Minneapolis based blues band,” coming to the Dassel-Cokato Performing Arts Center.

The Lamont Cranston Blues Band will be playing the blues for the DC community Friday, Aug. 4 beginning at 7 p.m. with Kevin Bowe as the opening act.

Pat “Lamont” Hayes, singer and harmonica player for the band, has toured in Bonnie Raitt’s “Nick of Time,” tour in 1990 and played at Dan Aykroyd’s House of Blues grand opening bash.

Aykroyd says this is his favorite band i the Midwest. “No one infects venues with the party virus quite like Pat Hayes and The Lamont Cranston Blues Band.”

The band has played with several other blues bands including Muddy Waters, Johnny Lang, Wilson Pickett and more.

Their recent album includes 19-songs live from two of Twin Cities hottest clubs and features “Upper Mississippi Shakedown,” “What a Party,” and “Lickin’ Stick.”

Tickets for the show can be purchased for $10. All reserved seating from Community Education must be in person or by phone at (320) 286-4120.
