New dentist set to open up shop by the end of November

There is a new dentist in town; Magraw Dental is opening in Delano Monday, Nov. 27.

Magraw Dental has been in Mound for the last 26 years and its owner, Susan Magraw, decided her practice needed more room to grow.

“Delano has the space requirements I am looking for,” Magraw said.

Magraw Dental will be starting the move this week to its new location in Delano Crossings by the Delano Eye Clinic and the Pizza Ranch.

The practice will provide general dentistry and cosmetic procedures, such as preventive maintenance, fillings, and root canals.

Magraw is excited about the move and the new equipment that will be in Delano. She will have intraoral cameras, a small camera that is put into the mouth and projects the image of the tooth on a television screen, to show patients what the problem area looks like.

“It shows what is going on,” Magraw said.

Susan Magraw graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1979, with a doctor of dental surgery degree. She opened Magraw Dental in Mound in 1980, and loves working with people.

“I really enjoy meeting a variety of people,” Magraw said.

Magraw has also been a member of the Minnesota Dental and Minneapolis Dental Associations for the last 14 years, where she supervises mediating cases between dentists and clients with grievances.

“It has been a real learning experience,” Magraw said.

Magraw Dental caters to all ages, and new customers are welcome to stop by and make an appointment.

“We welcome people of all ages,” Magraw said. “We like new patients.”

Magraw Dental is set to open in Delano Monday, Nov. 27, with hours of Mondays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
