Hegr takes over as sole owner of Mayer salon

Hair All About It salon and tanning in Mayer has a new owner, but no major changes are planned for the business, according to owner Nancy Hegr.

Hegr purchased the business with a partner in February, 2005, but announced recently that she bought out the other half of the business and became the sole owner in October.

Customers can expect the same service, pricing, and the same hours of operation they have seen in the past, Hegr said.

The business provides full salon services, as well as two tanning beds.

Mobile salon service was introduced at the end of 2005, and Hegr said this part of the business is doing well.

She travels to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences within a 30-mile radius to provide salon services to elderly or handicapped customers who are unable to get to the salon.

The salon is open from Monday to Saturday, and mobile salon service is available by appointment.

Hegr currently has two part-time employees, but said she is looking for booth renters, as well as full or part-time employees.
