It’s payback time

Dear Readers,

Our mom writes this column and says it wasn’t supposed to be about us all the time. She had hoped people would send in more stories about their kids, but each week, we seem to be mentioned in some way. It’s annoying and sometimes embarrassing.

It’s our turn to write about her. Yes, it’s payback time!

Did you know . . .

Our mom says “hut dog” instead of hot dog? It’s not HUT!

Did you know . . .

Our mom is obsessed with breath mints? It’s so irritating to hear them moving around in her purse!

Did you know . . .

Our mom is a major klutz? She says we leave too many things laying around for her to trip over, but we think she trips even when nothing is there!

Did we mention our mom says hut dog, instead of hot dog?

Did you know . . .

Our mom hates it when things are crooked? In fact, one day while at the doctor’s office, we were in the waiting room and she kept looking around, shaking her head and sighing. We swear, she did this like six times before we asked, “WHAT?!”

Without saying anything, she got up and straightened every picture and painting in the entire clinic!

How’s that for funny, annoying or just weird?

Did you know . . .

Our mom cleans when she is bored? Who does that?!

Did you know . . .

Our mom gave all three of us names that start with the letter “B?” Then, she started collecting things with bumble bees on them and calling us “The Bees.”

I mean, who in the world likes bees? They sting you!

Did we mention our mom says hut dog, instead of hot dog?

Yes, it’s payback time!

From Bradey, Bryer and Brynna . . . or as our mom likes to say, “The Bees.”

Tiny Tales is a column dedicated to children in our community, and the times when they create a wonderful story to tell. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, family member, caregiver, teacher or anyone with a child in your life . . . there’s always a tiny tale to tell.

It may be cute or funny things a child has said or done. Any of those endearing moments you love to share with others, and people, like me, enjoy reading.

Here in Delano we are proud of our community, our schools and our children . . . why not have a column about our little ‘tigers’?

You can e-mail your tiny tales to; jbakken@hjpub.com, fax them to 763-972-1029 or mail them to Tiny Tales, 430 Hwy 12 E. Suite 4, PO Box 498, Delano, MN 55328.
