Bank branch to be built

By Roz Kohls

Construction on the new branch of Farmers State Bank of Darwin will begin in April or May in the Haekenkamp development on the west side of Dassel.

The 3,500-square-foot building will be constructed across the service road from the Meeker Memorial Clinic, according to Mark Johnson, president of Farmers State Bank.

Customers will turn south from Highway 12, and then make an immediate right turn to the bank branch, he said.

Either Johnson, himself, or the bank’s vice president, Josh Johnson, will be in charge of managing the branch, he said.
