Montrose Waverly Community Expo planned for Sept. 22

The fifth annual Montrose Waverly Community Expo, hosted by the Montrose Waverly Chamber of Commerce is planned for Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Montrose Elementary School.

The event is sponsorsed by SNAP Fitness Waverly/Montrose, Orion Farm, and Herald Journal Publishing.

Returning this year to the “Taste of Montrose Waverly” will be free food samples, provided by local restaurants and grocery stores including Bayrisher Hof, Great Northern Bar & Grill, Pete’s Grocery, Red’s Café, Alice’s, Casey’s General Store, and Waverly Café.

Additional highlights

Free activities provided by local area businesses such as face painting, make and takes, coloring contest, prize wheel, children’s game table, lots of door prizes, and much more.

Come and see more than 60 local area businesses and community organizations.

Demonstrations throughout the event will be provided by the sheriff’s department with K-9, Dojo Karate, Barbara Lee’s Dance Studio, and Suzuki Kids.
