Tickets are now on sale for Martin Zellar and the Hardways, who are coming to the Performing Arts Center, Saturday, Oct. 6.

After being a “big hit” with his acoustic show in May of 2005 and singing with the local band, Cowboys in Sneakers, Zellar is coming back to the PAC.

“There was a lot of positive feedback,” said Kirk Asplin, lead singer of Cowboys in Sneakers.

Zellar, former singer and songwriter for the Gear Daddies, is originally from Minnesota and his music reflects that.

Described as country-rock, Asplin calls it the “new Minnesota-style music.”

When Cowboys in Sneakers formed in the early ‘90s, many of their first songs were by the Gear Daddies, according to Asplin.

Having opened for Zellar at a number of different venues, Asplin found getting to play with him on stage was quite an honor, he said.

Zellar and his three-member band, the Hardways, can be seen Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Dassel-Cokato’s Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $8 for youth and can be purchased by calling (320) 286-4120 or by stopping in the Community Education office.
