Seven girls will take part in the ambassador competition during Red Rooster Days, with coronation set for Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Cost is $6 to attend ($3 if under 18).

I’m not involved in any at this point. Next year, I hope to take up dance.

Scrapbooking, going to the beach, four-wheeling, and being with my family and friends.

Future plans:
Go to college, minor in photo journalism, major in psychology. Get married, have two children.
Favorite thing about Red Rooster Days:
The parade. It’s fun seeing all the interesting floats – the candy is a big plus.
What made you decide to run for Ambassador?
My friend brought it up. I thought it would be a fun experience, win or lose. My family urged me to do it after I told them about it.
What project(s) would you consider doing to give back to the community of Dassel?
Set up another program for children who have been neglected by their parents due to chemical dependencies. Road/lakeside clean-up.
What person do you admire, and why?
My Uncle Eric. He has helped me through a lot of tough times in my life. He is always there for his family, no matter what. That’s admirable.

I chose this quote from the Bible because I strongly believe that the Lord can help you accomplish anything you put your mind to. You’ve got to believe you can do it. You’ve got to believe the Lord will help you.

Finishing generals at St. Cloud State University, and eventually transferring over to Augsburg College for a master’s degree in psychology.

The fireworks.
What made you decide to run for Ambassador?
For the experience and a chance to become more involved in my community.
What project(s) would you consider doing to give back to the community of Dassel?
Community clean-up to help keep the town clean, and a Big Brother/Big Sister program.
What person do you admire, and why?
My mother, because she has strength that I hope someday to possess, and she is able to help everyone whenever she can.

I thought it would be a fun experience. It would be fun to get to know all the girls.
What project(s) would you consider doing to give back to the community of Dassel?
Setting up a Big Sister program to help girls who need a mentor and someone to hang out with.
What person do you admire, and why?
My sister, because she has always been there to listen to me and help me through difficult times in my life.

I’ve always looked up to the ambassadors, and it would be fun to represent Dassel.
What project(s) would you consider doing to give back to the community of Dassel?
A Big Sister/Little Sister program, and spending time and doing activities with the elderly.
What person do you admire, and why?
My aunt. She has always been there for me, and has influenced a lot of the decisions I have made. I really look up to her and admire her.

The experience made me decide to run for ambassador.

Visiting the nursing home, highway clean-up, Red Rooster Days, helping out at various community events.

My parents are the people who I admire. They have been my teachers throughout my life. They support me in everything I decide to do.

I plan on pursuing a career in the medical field, more specifically, in the area of radiology.

As a berry picker, I have to say, Dairy Berry Day, but I also like watching the tractor-pull.
What made you decide to run for Ambassador?
I like being involved in my community, and see becoming a Dassel Ambassador as a great opportunity to give back.
What project(s) would you consider doing to give back to the community of Dassel?
I would like to lead a group of volunteers to do some highway clean-up along Highways 12 and 15. I would also like to conduct a fundraiser and care package assembly for local servicemen serving in Iraq.
What person do you admire, and why?
There are many people who I look up to, but none more so than my parents. My mom and dad have always pushed me to strive for success. It is the most wonderful feeling to know that I have their support in whatever I set out to do, and that they will be there to cheer me up when I’m feeling down.
