MEADA launches online drug resource thanks to donation

The Methamphetamine Education And Drug Awareness (MEADA) Coalition of Wright County announces the launch of its newly redesigned informational website, www.meada.org. The new user friendly site was created thanks to the donation of services by Th!nkCreative Advertising, Inc., St. Cloud, MN.

The new site is designed to be a resource for communities, families and individuals dealing with drug-related issues. It features specific sections on drug information, education and hope which includes stories from past drug users. It also includes news, tips and educational materials.

“Everyone realizes meth is a tremendous social issue,” said Th!nkCreative’s CEO Kevin Ehlinger. “MEADA is actually doing something about it. Our donation of the website allows them to educate the public more effectively and hopefully change a few lives.”

MEADA was first organized from another local initiative, Safe Schools, in 2004 to educate communities about Meth and other drugs. In the summer of 2006, MEADA became an official 501C3 non-profit organization with local board members from throughout Wright County.

MEADA has made some great strides in helping to change perceptions about meth in our communities and in large part because of the support we receive from our great partners.
