Delano Schools hire new middle school principalLong-time principal Richard Rominski retiring By Ryan Gueningsman Members of the Delano School Board approved the hiring of new middle school principal Rene Klinkner, effective July 1, at last Monday’s regular school board meeting. Klinkner will take over upon current middle school principal Richard Rominski’s retirement. Klinkner is currently the elementary principal at St. Clair Public Schools, located in south central Minnesota. She is also the Title 1 coordinator, and wears several other hats in that district, commented Superintendent Dr. John Sweet. Prior to that, Klinkner worked at Granada-Huntley-East Chain in southern Minnesota as a high school principal for three years, served as dean of students, and has also taught classroom music, band, and choir. Sweet said the Delano School District also has had Klinkner speak to the staff as a consultant for the Northwest Evaluation Association, which does measures of academic progress (MAPS), last fall. |
