During the final inspection of the utility improvements along Wright County Road 6 in Howard Lake, a remote camera detected that the new water main runs through current sewer main in three different locations along that stretch, according to City Administrator Kelly Hinnenkamp.
“There is no immediate public health concern,” Hinnenkamp said.
However, the contractor, Sundblad Construction, will correct the problem immediately by digging up the three different sections in 20-foot-wide widths along Seventh Street (County Road 6).
Because it is Sundblad’s mistake, it will pay for the repair.
A detour is likely to once again be in place, but the exact route is unknown, according to Hinnenkamp.
