Several businesses in Howard Lake are bringing back holiday treats for everyone to enjoy.

“Taste of the Holidays” will return to the area Friday and Saturday, Dec. 14 and 15.

The Howard Lake Business Association and other local retailers are sponsoring the event.

“It’s a way for the business people to appreciate customers,” explained business owner Marilyn Ringold.

This event took place in the past, but was discontinued a number of years ago.

Participating businesses will be providing refreshments for the public at various times throughout the day at their respective establishments Friday, Dec. 14.

Anyone can stop at these businesses and enjoy what the employees of these businesses have prepared and are serving.

Santa will make his appearance at the Security State Bank of Howard Lake foyer from 10 a.m. until noon.

Pictures will be taken with Santa, a free ornament will be given out, and refreshments will be served.

Ringold added that this event is for people to have something fun to do during the holiday season.

It is also a way for the businesses to show their appreciation and spread holiday cheer. They hope to make this an annual event once again.

Any business that would like to be a part of the festivities, but hasn’t been contacted yet, is asked to call Randy Heuer at (320) 485-2535.
