In the darkened world that we live in, it’s very eye catching and soothing to the heart and soul when seeing the picture of Jesus knocking at the door.
It’s an early morning scene. Jesus holds a lantern in his hand representing the light of salvation.
He’s willing to bring light to the darkened room behind the closed door.
One amazing thing to visually see is that there is no outside doorknob or latch. It can only be opened from the inside.
The many different kinds of weeds that are growing tall and surrounding the door bear evidence to the fact that this door has not been opened before.
Jesus is patient with us. He doesn’t force himself upon us or his way into our lives. He holds the lantern in one hand and gently knocks with the other hand. . . and patiently waits.
“Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone opens I will come in.” (Rev. 3:20).
He has humbly brought a light for our path to walk on and life for our eternity. He is always waiting for an invitation to join us in fellowship.
May the doors of our hearts always be open and his presence brighten our day and fill us with his love and his many blessings.
