Let March Madness begin

It’s that time of year again – March Madness is here!

While I’m not a huge college basketball fan during the regular season, this time of year gets me excited.

Sunday afternoon the NCAA announced the 65 teams that made the Division I men’s basketball tournament, and today millions of Americans are filling out their brackets.

I’m one of those millions of Americans, and will be filling out at least two, if not more brackets in the hope that this is finally the year that I pick the winner.

Most years I am terrible at picking the winners, and by the end of the first weekend am usually out of the competition.

However, this year I feel is going to be different, for no other reason than the odds have to be with me.

I’ve been filling out brackets since I was in high school, and I don’t think I have ever gotten close to winning.

So, without further delay, I’ll let the rest of you filling out your brackets today know who is going to be the winner.

Yep, picking my winner and I haven’t even seen a filled out bracket yet.

I’m picking the one team that I have actually watched play a few times this year – North Carolina.

Not too much of a stretch, is it?

They are only the top ranked team in the country, and a shoe in to be a number one seed.

Still, they are very good, and are going to be the 2008 champs.
