Made up of banjo, guitar, string bass, fiddle, and vocals, the band appears regularly in Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, and at bluegrass festivals around the country.

Howard Lake native Jessie Munson is a member of Sorghum Hill, and her fiddle playing will be featured on this concert. Jessie graduated from HLWW High School in 1998, received a degree in violin performance from Texas Tech University, and has been a full-time violinist in the Memphis Symphony Orchestra since 2002.

Upon her arrival in Memphis, Jessie became interested in folk and bluegrass music, and soon began playing fiddle with the Sorghum Hill Bluegrass Band.

Some of the band members have never been to Minnesota before, so please plan to come and welcome Sorghum Hill to our area. Refreshments will be served following the performance.
