Get ready for the 59th annual Cokato Corn Carnival

Even if you aren’t a fan of freshly cooked corn-on-the-cob, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the 59th annual Cokato Corn Carnival.

The excitement begins Monday, Aug. 11 with the main parade starting at Broadway Avenue and Seventh Street.

Following the parade, there will be a reception at the corn stand for 2007-08 Miss Cokato, Emily McConkey, who was recently crowned Minneapolis Aquatennial Princess.

Music featuring Trevor Davis will follow the main parade in Peterson Park and is sponsored by the Cokato Ministerium.

Free with a Corn Carnival button, corn-on-the-cob will be available Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m. donated by Faribault Foods.

Tuesday at 8 p.m., current Cokato royalty will be passing on their crowns to three lucky ladies. Read the seven candidate’s biographies inside.

Come check out the Classic Vehicle Revue, sponsored by the Cokato Museum, Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. See an array of unique classic vehicles along a blocked-off section of Fourth Street West between Broadway Avenue and Millard.
