Crews are paving the final two inches of asphalt on Highway 7 and expect to be finished this week. It will not be open to traffic until all work is complete and safety features have been installed.
Guardrail installation is complete, and crews are in the process of installing signs and applying pavement markings. Mathiowetz Construction is pushing up topsoil in preparation for final turf in the ditches.
The project is still on track to be complete and the road open on Nov. 15, according to MnDOT representative Kelly Brunkhorst.
Questions or concerns about the project?
MnDOT representative Kelly Brunkhorst will present updates about the Highway 7 project and answer questions during weekly meetings every Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Hollywood Ranch House at the intersection of Highway 7 and Carver County Road 33 north of New Germany.
