Capt. Dennis Bengston, US Navy JAG Corps, and a former resident of Dassel, is at Yokusaka, Japan, serving as the Navy’s only judge in the Southwest Pacific.
Bengston is a graduate of Dassel High School, Gustavus Adolphus College, and Wake Forest University Law School in Winston Salem, NC.
He passed the bar in the Washington DC jurisdiction.
He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gordon A. Bengston, former residents of Dassel, and now living in Golden Valley.
Bengston’s daughter, Britta Bengston, is a lieutenant in the US Navy Reserves and is stationed in Iraq. She serves as a navigator aboard a Navy P-3 observation plane.
