Prairie Days offers fun for all ages

Lester Prairie’s annual Prairie Days celebration features food, fun, events and activities for people of all ages.

This year’s celebration will take place Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21.

Volunteers who wish to help with the event can contact LaJean Hoof (320) 395-2615.

Friday’s activities include:

• beer and food starting at 4 p.m.

• $1 hot dogs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

• kiddie parade starting at 6 p.m. sponsored by the Lester Prairie Business Association. Contact Troy Feltmann (320) 395-4162.

• softball games - Contact Steve Dietel (320) 395-9877, cell (612) 226-4124.

• Mini rod pull 7 p.m. sponsored by Jerry’s Transmission.

• K&K Fun Times - evening hours.

• City vs. country softball game 6:30 p.m. Organizers are still looking for participants. Contact Troy Feltmann (320) 395-4162.

• Music by Deep Fried Tweeters 8 p.m. to midnight.

Saturday’s activities include:

• K&K Fun Times - all day.

• Sixth grade baseball tournament.

• Demo derby 12:30 compacts, full-size, mini vans, trucks. Contact Bob (320) 864-6268.

• Fireworks at dusk sponsored by First Community Bank.

• music by Silverado 8 p.m. to midnight.

Sunday activities include:

• Sunday morning church service 9 a.m. under the tent.

• Community Education breakfast 10 a.m. to noon, Lester Prairie School.
