Township elections set for Tuesday

Spring township elections are Tuesday, March 11.

Incumbent Randy Holm filed for Collinwood Township supervisor, and incumbent Larry Ostlund filed for clerk of Collinwood Township. The polls will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The annual meeting will follow. The election and meeting are in Collinwood Township Hall.

Incumbent Orville Anderson filed for Dassel Township supervisor, and incumbent Karin Colberg filed for Dassel Township clerk. The polls will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The annual meeting will follow at the Dassel Area Historical Building.

In Stockholm Township, two positions are up for election, the clerk position served by Amanda Zeidler and supervisor position served by Paul Yates. Yates is serving the rest of John Lind’s position after he resigned. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The annual meeting will follow at the Stockholm Township Hall. Plans for a new township hall and shop, and the status of the township’s planning and zoning commission will be discussed.

Cokato Township also features two spots, the clerk position, served by Dan Siltala, and a supervisor position served by Dan Bravinder. Only incumbent Bravinder refiled. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The annual meeting will follow at the Cokato Township Hall.

Ellsworth Township has its clerk position open, served by Tom Carlson, and a supervisor position open, served by Roger Werner. Incumbent Werner refiled for supervisor and Gordy Seiffer filed for clerk. Carlson did not refile. The polls will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Ellsworth Township Hall. The annual meeting will follow.

French Lake Township will fill its clerk position open, served by Roseanne Peterson, and a supervisor position served by Mike Granquist. Both of the incumbents have refiled. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The annual meeting will follow at French Lake Township Hall.

Kingston and Darwin townships will have their elections in the fall.
