Wednesday, Jan. 21 is Mark Ollig Day

True gentlemen are hard to find. And when it comes to the modern-day cyber world, it’s hard to find someone who is trustworthy, has common sense, and is also willing to give good advice.

For this person to also be a gentleman on top of it all is asking a bit too much.

But still I ask: Who is a modern-day gentleman in the cyber world? Who donates his time every week by giving good advice in our newspaper and web site?

Mark Ollig, that’s who. He is the humble writer of our weekly feature Bits & Bytes.

I would like to thank him for answering dumb questions and being available (well, actually I think he’s married) to our readers.

And so, therefore, I would like to designate Wednesday, Jan. 21 as “Mark Ollig Day.” To sample his fine work, try his Pick of the Week, or his most current column. You won't be disappointed.

Some virtual flowers and chocolates will be sent his way, if I remember to send them.

Check out a more serious column subject about cell phones.
