Mainly incumbents file for township positions

DASSEL-COKATO, MN – Annual elections and town meetings for several area townships will be Tuesday, March 10.

Generally, one supervisor and the treasurer position are up, which feature three-year and two-year terms, respectively.

In Stockholm Township, David Sand filed for the supervisor position served by Byron Sangren. Randy Chrast also announced his intention to run as a write-in candidate. Incumbent Mark Wendolek filed for treasurer.

In Ellsworth Township, incumbents Larry Graf filed for supervisor, and Elvera Smith filed for treasurer.

In Collinwood Township, incumbents David Prieve filed for supervisor, and Michelle Schnitzler filed for treasurer.

In French Lake Township, incumbents Daniel Leinonen filed for supervisor, and Lucille Ekholm filed for treasurer.

In Dassel Township, incumbents Karl Townsend filed for supervisor, and Galen Nyman filed for treasurer.

In Cokato Township, incumbents Dean Mahlstedt filed for supervisor, and Nancy Dahlman filed for treasurer.

Kingston and Darwin Townships had their elections in November.
