Several area townships had spring elections Tuesday, March 10. Generally, one supervisor and the treasurer position were up, which feature three-year and two-year terms, respectively. Kingston and Darwin Townships had their elections in November.
Cokato Township
In Cokato Township, Dean Mahlstedt was re-elected as supervisor, and Nancy Dahlman was re-elected as treasurer.
French Lake Township
In French Lake Township, Daniel Leinonen was re-elected as supervisor, and Lucille Ekholm was re-elected as treasurer.
Stockholm Township
In Stockholm Township, David Sand was elected as supervisor. Mark Wendolek was re-elected as treasurer. The turnout was “superb,” despite the snowstorm, commented Clerk Diane Johnson. “We couldn’t even see out the window,” she said. Voter turnout was 101, and she was thankful for each voter who participated, despite the weather, she said.
Dassel Township
In Dassel Township, Karl Townsend was re-elected as supervisor, and Galen Nyman was re-elected as treasurer.
Ellsworth Township
In Ellsworth Township, Larry Graf was re-elected as supervisor, and Elvera Smith was re-elected as treasurer.
Collinwood Township
In Collinwood Township, David Prieve was re-elected as supervisor, and Michelle Schnitzler was re-elected as treasurer.
