COKATO, MN – Injection Technologies in Cokato, and Imperial Plastics in Lakeville, announced the transfer of the Cokato production operations to the Imperial Plastics facility in Lakeville.

This will affect 18 people in the production department in Cokato, commented Steve Benda, president of Injection Technologies.

Benda will maintain an office at the Cokato office with a reduced staff. He will work closely with existing customers in the area of product development, engineering and technical molding innovation.

“Benda is grateful to the valued employees of the company and appreciative of being part of the Cokato business community,” according to a statement from the company.

Both organizations serve industry needs for custom thermoplastic injection molding. The combined strengths of their respective businesses are viewed as a positive enhancement for the needs of their customer base, which includes various domestic and international corporations.

Imperial Plastics was founded in 1968. Imperial received ISO 9001-2000 registration, a distinguished quality certification in June 2001. The company also recently completed two expansions to its manufacturing facilities, enhancing its world-class production capabilities.
