Filing period coming up for township elections

FRANKLIN & WOODLAND TOWNSHIP, MN – One of three supervisor seats will be up for election this spring for Franklin Township.

The seat presently held by John Czanstkowski Sr. is up for election this year. The township election will take place Tuesday, March 10, 2009.

Those wishing to file for the three-year seat may do so with Franklin Township Clerk/Treasurer Denise Olson.

Affidavits of candidacy may be filed with Olson at her home office, located at 545 Elm Avenue in Delano, from Tuesday, Dec. 30 through Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 until 5 p.m. The filing fee is $2.

Filings to open for Woodland Township

Woodland Township will open for filing as Jim Trombley’s term as supervisor is up, which is a three-year term, and treasurer Barb McBrady-Janikula’s term is also up, which is a two-year term, according to Clerk Gloria Janikula.
